TECHNISCHE INFORMATIE EN DUURZAAMHEID

CovrGard AQUA is a high-performance marine specific film equally at home above or below the water line, designed to protect vulnerable surfaces from the damage caused by impact and abrasion. A 250 (micron) (10mil) aliphatic urethane coated with a pressure sensitive repositionable acrylic adhesive is topped off with our state-of-the-art clear coat technology, offering a highly durable finish with both self-healing and excellent hydrophobic attributes.

GARANTIE

AQUA is warranted against manufacturing defects such as crazing, cracking, bubbling or surface degradation from UV exposure for up to 10 years, so long as the original purchaser owns and operates the vessel on which the film is installed. To keep the product in excellent condition, follow the regular aftercare procedures throughout ownership.

Marine Protection Film (MPF) is a specialist variant of paint protection film engineered for the specific demands of the marine environment. Unlike standard automotive PPF, CovrGard AQUA is formulated to withstand continuous saltwater exposure, UV intensity on open water, and the chemical contact from marine fuels, antifouling compounds, and dock treatments – conditions that would degrade a standard film over time.

2: Will CovrGard AQUA affect the appearance of my boat?

CovrGard AQUA is virtually invisible once installed. The film is optically clear and designed to conform to the curves and contours of hull sides, bow sections and other surfaces without distorting colour, finish or gloss level. The super-hydrophobic surface coating can actually enhance the visual cleanliness of the vessel by repelling water and contaminants.

3: What is self-healing technology and how does it work?

CovrGard AQUA incorporates a self-healing topcoat that uses heat – either from sunlight or warm water – to cause light surface scratches to reflow and disappear at a molecular level. This keeps the film looking pristine without any intervention from the owner in most cases.

4: Can CovrGard AQUA be applied to any part of my vessel?

The film is suitable for hull sides, bow sections, engine covers, deck surfaces and any high-contact areas prone to dock rash, rope chafe or fender scuffing. 6: Does the film require any special maintenance?

No specialist products are needed. CovrGard AQUA’s super-hydrophobic surface makes it easy to clean – salt, grime and most marine contaminants rinse away readily. Standard boat washing procedures are all that’s required. There’s no need for regular polishing or waxing of protected areas.

7: Will the film remove cleanly if I decide to sell or re-wrap the vessel?

When removed by a trained installer, CovrGard AQUA is designed to come away cleanly without damaging the underlying gel coat or painted finish. This protects the long-term resale value of your vessel, as the original surface beneath is preserved in the condition it was in at time of application.

8: How is CovrGard AQUA installed, and can I do it myself?
